Plans

These represent the variety of approaches that SHP schools take to planning courses and units of work. Some plans cover a whole course or key stage while others might focus on a particular unit such as a GCSE depth study or a thematic study at Key Stage 3.

Each plan is accompanied by a rationale that explains the thinking behind it.

Activities and Resources

Motivating learning activities that engage students and stimulate their thinking are central to SHP principles and practice.

The activities include accompanying notes explaining when, how and why they were used. Linked resources are sometimes included for you to adapt and use with your own students.
