CROSS CURRICULAR IDEAS FOR TAKING A ‘WHOLE SCHOOL’ APPROACH TO MARKING
THE CENTENARY OF THE START OF WORLD WAR ONE
In addition to the history lessons that primary schools will undertake to mark the centenary of the start of World War 1, many schools will be thinking about doing something special during the summer term. This could take the form of a whole day of activities or perhaps a themed approach based around the ‘Great War’.
The following resources and activities put together by Ann Moore offer some ideas for teachers as a starting point for their planning.
They are by no means exhaustive.
