Chronology Pairs

This is an upper Key Stage 2 activity from Ann Moore and is a straightforward interpretation of the card game of Pairs. Its aim is to reinforce children’s understanding of chronology in an interesting way.

There is a date for each century and children simply have to match the two.

Anno Domini and Before Christ have been included, but there are no BC dates or centuries in this particular activity. Clearly, teachers may wish to add to the game and create an additional set of cards covering these dates.

Playing Pairs

This is a straightforward interpretation of the game of 'Pairs'. Children lay all the cards out face downwards, then uncover the correct pairings and the winner is the one with the most correct sets of pairs.
