SHP Structure

The Schools History Project is based at Leeds Trinity University College. SHP’s Director (Michael Riley) and Publications Director (Ian Dawson) are employed as 0.4 and 0.2 principal lecturers by the College, working remotely from their homes. Liz Cairns is SHP’s Administrator, based at the College.

An SHP Advisory Group plays a vital role in supporting the Project and in determining its development. The Advisory Group is made up of:

• eight SHP Fellows – Dale Banham, Ian Coulson, Chris Culpin, Angela Leonard, Kate Moorse, Andy Reid, Jane Richardson and Martin Spafford

• and nine SHP Regional Advisers – Sally Burnham, Donald Cumming, Jasminder Dhillon, Andy Harmsworth, Steve Jolly, Dan Lyndon, Jo Philpott, Jane Richardson and Muriel Wilkins

The Advisory Groups meets twice a year in October and March.

The Schools History Project is able to publish innovative learning resources through its long-established relationship with Hodder Education. Jim Belben (Editorial Director, Humanities and MFL) is responsible for SHP publishing at Hodder Education.
