Lots of great sessions…packed with practical, productive ideas

It was brilliant, engaging & useful - showed importance of a more inclusive history

The conference was very good, providing a range of useful ideas and  easy to adapt resources and strategies

An excellent Conference  with leaders being so enthusiastic

It was inspirational - like going to another gig with a favourite band who always deliver another set.

Ian Dawson was on fire this year - best I've seen

It was all fabulous - thought provoking and inspiring

The plenaries were real highlights… gave good focus

I wished I could to go to all of the workshops!

Active learning –

I’m going to bounce all the way home’ said one teacher as she left the 2009 SHP conference.

The written evaluations, too, were full of praise:

an amazing weekend
a fantastically helpful conference
I saw excellent and inspirational practice in all workshops and plenaries
so well-organised, everything dovetailed

These were just a few of the comments from over 260 teachers who attended.

From Friday to Sunday lunchtime, teachers and history educators were treated to the most creative thinking and practice in history education. Five plenary sessions and over thirty workshops addressed some of the most important issues in school history.
