The Thinking History website provides detailed descriptions of around 100 kinaesthetic activities, many with supporting resources. While they provide variety and enjoyment, their main purpose is to deepen students’ knowledge and understanding. Each activity also has a section encouraging teachers to reflect on what students are learning and how to improve the activity. There is also a wide range of discussion material on aspects of history teaching such as chronological understanding.

The resources at KS3 include extensive discussion on planning and teaching the 2008 KS3 PoS with particular emphasis on enquiry and the inter-relationship of outline and depth studies.
