The Schools Learning Zone on England’s Past for Everyone provides interesting materials to support SHP’s principle of learning in the historic environment. The website includes local history enquiries from ten counties across England and provides several case-studies aimed at Key Stage 3.

The England’s Past for Everyone (EPE) project is run by the Victoria County History (VCH) at the Institute of Historical Research, University of London. The website has been developed following a series of school projects run by the EPE project, in partnership with schools, local authorities, educational consultants and other learning professionals.

The materials have all been edited by VCH staff to ensure accuracy. They include teachers’ packs and student resources. Selected links to the EPE ‘Explore’ website provide access to further related images and historical documents to enable more in-depth study.
