Using recent research to inform planning

Dale Banham (Northgate High School, Ipswich)

& Russell Hall (Kesgrave High School, Ipswich)

This article builds on our 2012 research project that aimed to promote curiosity, intrinsic motivation and a greater degree of independence amongst our A Level students.

We shared these findings at the 2012 Schools History Project Conference in Leeds [see here].

During the last academic year we have built on this project; incorporating additional research and applying some of the key principles to GCSE as well as A Level.
