The Bangla Stories Website

Bangla Stories is based on a three-year research project at LSE and Cambridge University exploring the history of migration from the Bengal delta region in the period after Indian Independence in 1947.

The website features eight main interviewees who left Bengal to make new lives overseas. Their personal stories provide a rich resource for Key Stage 3 pupils learning about migration.

In addition to the case-studies, the website also features a teaching resource pack with lesson ideas linking English, Citizenship, History, Geography and PSHE.
